Urinary tract infection treatment
Urinary tract infections, or UTIs, refer to infections of the urethra, bladder, and sometimes the kidneys. They can be incredibly painful and irritating to deal with, and are characterized by discomfort or burning (especially during urination), frequent urination, blood in your urine, and other symptoms. You might also notice a fever or unexplained fatigue. Women are more likely to experience a UTI than men, though anyone can get one. When you visit us with a urinary tract infection, we will perform an examination to verify the infection and prescribe an antibiotic to get rid of it. Most patients generally experience relief from their discomfort within the first few doses of their medication, but we will be on hand to answer any questions or perform any additional follow-up treatment that might become necessary.
