Northtowns providers
David Abramowitz, M.D., attended Medical School at Sackler School of Medicine and performed his Residency in Urology at the University at Buffalo. Following his residency, Dr. Abramowitz completed a prestigious fellowship in Cancer Survivorship and Reconstructive Urology at City of Hope National Cancer Center in Los Angeles. He is a member of the American Urologic Association (AUA), Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS) and Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA). He will be practicing general urology with a focus on reconstructive and prosthetic urology.
Philip J. Aliotta, M.D., MSHA, FACS, CPI earned his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico and completed his residency training in urology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Aliotta is board-certified and holds clinical certifications in hand assisted laparoscopy, laparoscopy, brachytherapy, microsurgery, and laser surgery.
John Joseph Bodkin III, M.A., M.D., earned his B.S in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Connecticut and both his M.A. in physiology and M.D. from the University at Buffalo. Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Bodkin completed his general surgery internship and Urology residency in Buffalo, NY. In addition to being published in respected peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Bodkin has been the recipient of numerous academic honors and awards. Dr. Bodkin is a member of the American Urologic Association, the American Medical Association, and the Underwater and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
Valerie Burkhard, M.D. is a Board-certified Urologist who received her Medical Degree and completed her five-year Urology Residency at the University at Buffalo. She has been in private practice since residency while concomitantly serving as Clinical Assistant Professor at UB since starting her practice, valuing the time she spends training the urology residents. Her practice has included the diagnosis and treatment of virtually all general urological problems, and she treats men and women, but has specialized in female urologic and pelvic health including incontinence, voiding and pelvic floor dysfunction as well as pelvic organ prolapse. She also has interest and extensive experience in the treatment of stone disease and oncology, especially renal and bladder cancers. Dr. Burkhard has specialized training in endoscopy, incontinence surgeries, pelvic organ prolapse surgeries, sacral neuromodulation, laparoscopy, and robotics. She has authored numerous articles and publications in a variety of urologic medical journals. Dr. Burkhard is a member of many professional societies including the American Urological Association and the Society of Women in Urology.
Mark D. Chazen, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his urology residency and a general surgery internship at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he utilizes his board-certified urology training as an assistant clinical instructor in urology and surgery for the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Kent Chevli, M.D. comes to Western New York after completing urologic training at the University of Louisville. He is a graduate of Washington University, and St. Louis University School of Medicine. His board-certified training includes female urology and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Chevli is a Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Urology, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biological Sciences at the University at Buffalo. His special interest lies in management of urologic cancers, including prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer.
Teresa L. Danforth, M.D. is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine where she also completed her Internship and Residency in Urology. Dr. Danforth then completed a fellowship at the University of Southern California focusing on incontinence and voiding disfunction. Dr. Danforth is also the Program Director of the Urology Residency program at the University at Buffalo and Chief of Service for Urology at Buffalo General Medical Center. She is a member of many clinical societies including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Urologic Association (AUA).
Abeer Eddib, M.D. a board-certified physician, completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Buffalo. Her focus is Urogynecology and she is also certified in daVinci robotics. Dr. Eddib’s experience gives her the expertise to manage complex types of Pelvic surgery that include the treatment of all forms of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, and endometriosis. In addition to pelvic organ prolapse surgery, other procedures she performs using a minimally invasive approach include hysterectomy, myomectomy, removal of tubes, ovaries, and ovarian cysts. Dr. Eddib is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, International Academy of Pelvic Surgeons, and the American Urogynecologic Society.
Richard N. Gilbert, M.D., a board-certified physician, is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School where he is now a Clinical Assistant Professor in Urology. He completed his urologic training at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Gilbert has specialty training in sexual dysfunction, prostate cancer, female urology, and laparoscopic surgery. He is also certified in daVinci robotics.
Jacquelyn M Gonka-Griffo, M.D., is a graduate of the Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed her Internship and Residency in Urology at the Jacob School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Gonka-Griffo then completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Metro Urology in Minnesota. She specializes in pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic pain, and female sexual dysfunction. She is a member of many clinical societies including the American Urologic Association (AUA).
Joseph M. Greco, M.D., a board-certified physician, joined the practice in 1979, after completing his urologic training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Greco’s training at Johns Hopkins included a one-year fellowship in conjunction with the American Cancer Society on the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
Michael Hanzly, Jr., D.O. graduated from the Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Hanzly completed his urology residency at Albert
Einstein Medical Center. He is a Board-certified, fellowship trained Urologist who completed a two-year Society of
Urologic Oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Dr. Hanzly has published several journal articles and
has lectured at both national and international meetings on urologic cancers. He has special interest in urologic
oncology including prostate cancer, kidney and bladder cancers as well as robotic
surgery.
John V. Pinski, M.D. a board-certified physician, earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland. He completed his residency in urology at the State University of New York at Buffalo and general surgery at the Easton Hospital, Easton, PA. Dr. Pinski’s is also an appointed associate clinical instructor at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Brian D. Rambarran, M.D., MPH received his medical degree from the State University of New York’s Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he was also named administrative chief resident. Dr. Rambarran’s special interests include radiotherapy and the treatment of prostate cancer.
John M. Roehmholdt, M.D. is a board-certified physician who received his degree from Albany Medical College of Union University where he graduated cum laude. He completed his urologic training at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. Dr. Roehmholdt is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons as well as the American Medical Association, American Urologic Association and the Medical Society of New York State.
John M. Rutkowski, M.D. received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He remained at the University to complete his General Surgery Internship and Urology Residency and then completed his clinical fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Rutkowski’s multidisciplinary urologic and oncologic training has given him unparalleled exposure to the latest methods of diagnosing and treating urologic disease. Dr. Rutkowski is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Urology at the University at Buffalo.
Christopher J. Skomra, M.D. is a medical honors graduate of the University of Buffalo. Dr. Skomra is board-certified and completed his urologic training at George Washington University, which included specialization in cancer surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and pediatric and female urology. He is also certified in daVinci robotics and has over 20 years of experience in performing robotic surgeries, which allowed him to develop and start the Robotics Surgical Program at Kaleida Health. Dr. Skomra is also Clinical Assistant Professor in Urology at the University at Buffalo.
Jeffrey A. Spencer, M.D. is a board-certified urologist who earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo. He then completed his internship and residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Spencer is certified in robotic surgery and has expertise in urologic oncology as well as general urology. He is a member of the American Board of Urology and the American Urologic Association.
Gina N. Tundo, M.D. is a graduate of the State University of New York, University at Buffalo Medical School. She completed her internship and residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Tundo then completed a fellowship in reconstructive urology at Emory University.
Sarah "Sally" Ward, M.D., is a board certified gynecologist specializing in Urogynecology. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University/MedStar Health in Washington, DC followed by fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Auburn Hospital/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Her practice focuses on the treatment of female pelvic floor disorders including conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic floor dysfunction. With an emphasis on patient-centered care, Dr. Ward offers both conservative options and minimally invasive surgical approaches to fit each patient's lifestyle and goals. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and a member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).
Jennifer Adams, PA-C, is a nationally certified physician assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2007 and Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2008 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Born and raised in Western New York, she returned after earning her degrees to practice medicine in the Buffalo area. Jennifer is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Michael Brogan, PA-C, is a nationally certified physician assistant. He completed both his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and then his Master in Physician Assistant Studies at Daeman College. Michael has experience across multiple specialties and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Western New York Physician Assistant Association.
Brian Crotzer, PA, is a nationally certified physician assistant and a graduated cum laude from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York. Brian earned his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College in Islip, New York. He is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Brian has enjoyed being an adjunct faculty member at Daemen College and D’Youville College in their Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner programs.
Elizabeth Costanzo, DNP, FNP-BC, BSN, RN earned both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Fairfield University. She graduated as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society. While pursuing her doctorate, she worked both as a nurse and as a professor in Fairfield University’s nursing programs. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Nursing Association.
Leanna DiBisceglie, PA-C earned her Masters Degree in physician assistant studies from Daemen College. While at Daemen, she earned the Presidential Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List. Leanna is a member of the Western New York Physician Assistant Association and has participated in multiple medical mission trips.
Jaime L. Fetes, RPA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant and a graduated cum laude from Daeman College in Buffalo, New York. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Western New York Physician Assistant Association. Jaime’s specialties include adult and pediatric urology.
Emily A. Levandusky, RPA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant and a dean's list graduate of D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York. She is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has earned special recognition for achievements in and knowledge of surgery. Emily's specialties include adult and pediatric urology.
Karen A. Pane, ANP graduated from Daemen College in May of 2013 as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. As an undergraduate student Karen received the Tanya Smith Rissew Memorial Award in 2010 and graduated with magna cum laude. She is also a member of the STTI honor society of nursing.
Cara Partridge, MSN FNP-BC, is a board certified family nurse practitioner who graduated from D’Youville college with honors. Previously, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Daemen College, also with honors. While attending college for her Master’s degree Cara worked as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Cara is a member of numerous professional organizations including The Nurse Practitioner Association of NYS and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Rachel Smith, ANP, graduated from the University at Buffalo’s Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program in 2014. As an undergraduate, Rachel earned Bachelors degrees in Nursing and Nutritional Sciences. Rachel is Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Nicholas Szal, PA-C, earned his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from D'Youville University. Prior to this, he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University at Buffalo. Throughout his education, Urology was an area of interest, including the focus of his graduate research project. Nicholas is a member of the Western New York Physician Assistant Association.
Katrina Vankouwenberg, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant. She
graduated Summa Cum Laude from Daemen College with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and was
awarded the Daemen College Presidential Scholarship. Katrina was also an academic coach for many Physician Assistant
courses and has had a wide array of clinical experiences.
Amy J. Walter, PT, DPT received her B.S. in Natural Science and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in Amherst, NY. Amy is currently certified as a Physical Therapist through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Mary Wesolowski, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Niagara University and then completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Daemen College. She is a member of the Western New York Physician Assistant Association, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and has participated in multiple medical mission trips.

Matthew S. Brennan, D.O., a board certified urologist, completed his fellowship training at Nova Southeastern University focused on Prosthetic Urology and Men’s Health. Prior to that, Dr. Brennan completed his undergraduate degree at the University at Buffalo, his medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his Urology Residency with the Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia. Dr. Brennan has authored numerous publications on Prosthetic Urology and is a member of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons.
Mark J. Doerr, M.D. has a B.S. in Biology from Canisius College in 1998 and an M.S. degree in Natural Sciences from SUNY - Buffalo/Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2000. During his urology residency at the Mayo, Dr. Doerr was recognized for his leadership abilities by being made Chief Urology Resident during his final year. Dr. Doerr is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), the Minnesota Urological Society and has received numerous academic awards and honors.
Anthony R. Ricottone, M.D. is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School. His urologic residency through SUNY Buffalo included training at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Children's Hospital. Dr. Ricottone is board-certified and his specialty areas include female and pediatric urology. He is also certified in daVinci robotics.
Phillip J. Seereiter, Jr., M.D. is a native of Buffalo and attended Boston College. He went on to obtain his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, where he then completed his general surgical and urologic residency. His program included training at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. His areas of interest include laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Matthew Sheldon, M.D., is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine who then went on to complete his internship in general surgery and residency in urology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He practices all aspects of urology and has special interest in urologic cancers and robotic urological surgery. Dr. Sheldon is a member of many clinical societies including the American Urological Association (AUA) and the American Association of Clinical Urologists.
Talia Calabro, PA-C, graduated from Western Michigan University in 1997 Cum Laude and is a NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant. She is a Member of the Western New York Physician Assistant Association and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Lisa Domagala, RPA-C graduated from Western Michigan University in 1997 Cum Laude and is a NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant. She is a Member of the Western New York Physician Assistant Association and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Erica Iacobucci, PA-C, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from
Canisius College and then went on to earn of Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from D'Youville
College. Erica has experience across a number of specialties, including urology. She is an active member the Western
New York Physician Assistant Association and a member of the D' Youville College Crossett Scholarship
Committee.
Sarah Price, RPA-C earned her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant
Studies from Daemen College. Since graduation, she has gained experience in a number of specialties. Sarah is a
member of numerous professional organizations including the Western New York Physician Assistant Association and the
American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Matthew Radel, PA-C, is a graduate of Daeman College’s Physician Assistant
Studies program where he was on the Dean’s List each semester and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is certified in
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Shania Trippy, PA-C, is a graduate of Gannon University where she earned
her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is a member of multiple professional and academic
organizations including the New York State Society of Physician Assistants and the Urologic Association of Physician
Assistants.

Eric D. Arnone, M.D., a native of Jamestown, NY, is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where he also completed his internship and residency. While at the University at Buffalo, he served as chief resident and as a member of the residents committee. Dr. Arnone is a member of numerous clinical societies including the American Medical Association and American Urological Association. He is also certified in daVinci robotics.
Benjamin Luong, M.D., is a graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Following his residency, Dr. Luong completed a fellowship in urologic oncology and robotic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Dr. Luong is a member of many clinical societies, has been published in respected peer reviewed journals, and has presented his work at Upstate New York Urologic Association and American Urological Association meetings.
Ryan G. White, M.D., is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School. He did his general surgical training and completed his urological training at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Dr. White trained in general urology and his interests include the treatment of erectile dysfunction, stone disease, urologic cancers, as well as male and female voiding dysfunction.
Kirsten Bishop, PA-C, is a board certified physician assistant. She earned a B.A. in Biology from North Park University and then graduated from Lemoyne College's PA Program. She then earned her Master's Degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center. Kirsten has practiced in the areas of general and vascular surgery prior to joining WNY Urology.
Michael Mikita, PA-C is a graduate of Westminster College where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology. He then went on to earn his Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Indiana State University. Michael is a member of numberous professional organizations including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Urological Association.
Kristen Siracuse, FNP-BC, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from D'Youville College in December of 2013 with a Master of Science. Kristen earned her undergraduate degree from Daemen College in August of 2011 with magna cum laude honors. She is an active member in the Chautauqua County Nurse Practitioner Association and was awarded the NPA NYS Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Nurse Practitioner scholarship in 2013. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Lisa A. Walter, FNP-BC, is a certified nurse practitioner who received both her degree and certification from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the New York State Nurse Practitioners Association as well as Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing. Lisa specializes in adult and pediatric urology.
William A. Geary, M.D., PhD, a board-certified physician, graduated and completed his pathology training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Geary is an active member of various professional organizations including the U.S. and Canadian Academy of Pathologists, the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Some of his specialty areas include cytology, fine needle aspiration and hematopathology.
John E. Schrecengost, M.D., a board-certified physician, comes to Western New York after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his pathology training at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. Dr. Schrecengost is an active member of multiple organizations including the American Society for Clinical Pathologists as well as the College of American Pathologists. He specializes in anatomic and clinical pathology.
